TEMPO – The Pedigree
The
machine tool company August Heinrich Schmidt was founded 1923, and in 1929
brought the worldwide first and extremely economical saw blade sharpening
machine on the market. In 1934 the brand name TEMPO was introduced. Ever
since Schmidt TEMPO saw blade sharpening machines made history. Machines for
saw blades up to diameter 3000mm were built, and after thousands of gear
indexing machines were sold worldwide, the first NC controlled saw blade
grinding machine, the TEMPO EC 400, was introduced in 1983. Full CNC machines
for CBN deep grinding became soon the state of the art, handling systems
capable of handling chaos loading more than 50 saw blades per stack are available
as well.
